1. The Ratio of Materials Must Be Right
The mix usually consists of cement, sand, gravel, and water. The ideal ratio you can use is:

1 part cement

2 parts sand

3 parts gravel

Sufficient water (not too much!)

Too much water makes the mix weak. Conversely, too little water makes the mix uneven.

2. Use Quality Materials
